Ok so I'm up late at night on FC and I see this mint green still (as you see above) of a woman with a blonde wig sitting on a pastel bed and I automatically assume that its going to be something good! So I'm watching and about a minute and 30 seconds in I'm baffled and confused but I kept watching to come to the realization that this film was a bit tounge-in-cheek and not to take things so literal and serious. Photographs by: Ed Freeman,an L.A. based artist and photographer Creating the series Desert Reality and Urban Reality. The architecture shots are all based on precise forms, very geometrical attention and an accurate selection of colors to transform an ordinary subject in something aesthetically remarkable. The buildings represented are mostly abandoned, captured and then manipulated. The amazing thing is that Freeman previous life was totally different, focused on music, for example he worked as road manager on the last Beatles’ tour, producer, writer of orchestral arrangements. ( Trendland ) When I'm writing ( fashion films ) I'm 90% thinking about where and what the location is for the scene that I'm trying to create. These photos that Ed Freeman took are completley breath taking and are a visual masterpiece! They hardly look like real places (photos:trendland, Visit Ed Freemans site here )

I love it when designers and makeup artists come together and really throw a fantasy element into these collections. Leave it up to some of my favorite designers in likes of Vivienne, Meadham Kirchhoff, Christian Dior (past seasons) to really amp it up when it comes to makeup looks! This season for VW Red Label Val Garland did the makeup for the show and I have to say that Val is a genius she's so inspiring and her artistry levels are incomprehensible. I always think to myself how does she come up with this type of stuff? For some people these might come off a bit clownish but to me this is beautiful! ( hence the name of my blog beauty of the unusual ) and this is pretty UNUSUAL! it reminded me a lot of Andy Warhol's work or a hybrid mix of a aging Egyptian 50's house wife on acid! I'm not going to act like I know who Diana Vreeland previous this post but I knew I'd recognize some of (if not all) of her iconic work I stumbled apoun this trailer on a popular fashion blog that I frequent and decided to check it out. Not only was I stunned about how vibrant and how visual her work was she quickly became one of my icons! I looked up more of her work for Harpers Bazaar and reading a brief about her biography and I was just so amazed The Eye Must Travel—a biopic built around the stellar career of Vreeland, one of the most legendary American fashion editors who ever lived." - fashion bistro check out her site and more information here

If there was a visual/video for what I've been inspired by recently I think Jack Whites 'Love Inturption' music video would sum that up nicely! I think/know that Jack and I are kindred spirits...or creative soul mates he just doesn't know it yet! (yeah that doesn't sound crazy right? ha!) I LOVE JACK WHITE!

Lately I've been so emotional and either has to be one or two things the one being that I'm still at a strange point of my life where I'm still struggling to find out who I am as a person or as an artist or where should I start or will I be questioned...the undying fear of putting yourself out there for the world to see is what scares me the most and also messing up...not being perfect...not choosing the right path but I know what I have to do and I need to walk through life not wondering if it will be the right path or not but I need to make mistakes in order to know how to do it right! Or the second being that 'mother nature' is right around the corner and its that time of the month hahaha (tmi?) But this video always makes me cry I remember posting it on my old blog and crying when I seen it and I did the same this time around...its so beautiful to see someone take pride and love something so much

(PHOTO: PROPAGAGA.COM) I think this video is so captivating and beautiful I seem to be atracted to gaga when she has gray hair! I think its so beautiful (lol how odd of me to say because old gray hair is always associated with old age or dull) but it suits her! I liked it in Vanity Fair and also when she wore it around for a couple of weeks in candid photos that I've seen of her! but her 'Yoü and I' video was so artistically beautiful to me it captured her rawness, almost human (which she is) but the scenes where she was in the Hussein Chalayan 'dress' with pink ballet flats and w/ a pop of or yellow-orange lip I thought it was beautiful congrats to Val Garland for the makeup on the video! Sorry if I'm rambeling but gaga is such an inspiration for me creatively and visually I think shes amazing and yes I'll jump on the gaga train if thats what it means but I love her!
